‘TASTE OF DAVAO’ IN HONG KONG

As we all know, Cathay Pacific through its regional airline Cathay Dragon will now fly direct four times a week from Davao City to Hong Kong starting October 28, 2018. And to celebrate this connectivity, Marco Polo Davao’s executive chef, Alex Destriza will be flying to Hong Kong to present a selection of authentic Davao home-style dishes at a nightly buffet spread at Three On Canton, Marco Polo Gateway Hotel. At one point I have to beg–off walking and ask them to just come back for me at one corner as my feet worn off on me already. For dinner we had the Organic roast duck with cucumber pancake and hoisin sauce, Braised sea cucumber with superior pumpkin egg soup, Steamed tiger prawn & minced scallop with mashed garlic, braised bok choy, steam ball bun, Chinese spicy chicken with peanuts, Slow-roasted lamb chops with berries, Fried rice with scallions and we capped it off with Trio mini buns in salted egg, mashed sweet potato and red bean.
