On May 7 2017, Ystilo Salon, a modern Spanish concept salon, opened its 28th branch at the 3rd Level of Abreeza Ayala Mall Expansion Wing here in Davao. Celebrity owners, Vina Morales and Shaina Magdayao along with Davao City Councilors, January Duterte and Cherry Bonguyan graced and did the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon at the grand inaugural rites of the salon.

A blessing prelude the event followed by the throwing of coins and candies as a traditional gesture to attract good luck and inspire good business. Fans and friends swarmed the venue to take a glimpse of their celebrity idol and also to meet and greet the charming sisters. They weren’t disappointed though as Vina and Shaina spared time to have their pictures taken with them.

At a bloggers and media briefing that followed, Sharon Magdayao or popularly known as Vina Morales along with her equally beautiful sister, Shaina Magdayao revealed that this may be their 28th branch but this is their first venture in Mindanao not as a franchise branch but operated under the company.

“Quality service, excellent customer service and professionally trained staff are what made Ystilo Salon different from the others. We also don’t compete with the others; we just do the best we can to give quality service at affordable prices. We made sure that our clients will keep coming back. We are thankful that business is good and that as you can see we are opening one branch today, one maybe next month and next year.” Said the gorgeous Bisayan speaking, Vina Morales.

The Magdayao sisters also considered the suggestion to put up a Muslim women friendly service for Mindanao branches, where only a female staff can attend to a Muslim lady client at a private cubicle inside the salon.

Ystilo Salon started 18 years ago as an offshoot of a celebrity stressful life. Vina often visit a salon back then and have her dose of beauty treatments done everytime. Upon seeing these tendencies, they thought why not put up their own salon? So along with her sister, Sheila Magdayao who now heads the Marketing Department put up this modern Spanish concept salon and eighteen years after they’re still doing well in the business.

In her closing statement, Vina thank Vice Mayor Pulong Duterte for the kind gesture of having her wife, Councilor January attend the grand opening. Vina also thank Mayor Inday Sarah for sending Councilor Bonguyan to grace the event and special mention to Jef Tupas for the support.

As we can see there are practically salons in every corner of the city offering less expensive services. However, if you want to risk having your hairs and nails done with untrained staff wreaking havoc along the way, better have it done with salons of good repute.
