MOTHER'S DAY CREATIVE AND PRACTICAL GIFT IDEA: SAY IT WITH SUCCULENTS

We always think that finding the right gift for moms this Mother’s Day is kind of real hard work. Well think again. Fact is, moms really doesn’t care much about what you give, she actually cares much about you thinking of her. But even so, we still want something tangible to give as a token of our love and to honor her for all her hardwork.

Botanophilic Davao, partnered with Trust Home Depot, a one-stop-shop hardware store to come up with a pop-up store that sells nicely potted succulents and cacti mixes as a creative and practical gift idea to moms this Mother’s Day.

“We came up with this idea because as you can see hardware is a man’s territory, so we want to have a corner with a female touch. So this Mother's Day we offer these lovely succulents as a special gift idea everyone can relate to.” Said Stephanie Ong, VP for Marketing of Home Trust Depo.

The succulents in attractive pots were curated by Ching Olmoguez, a 22-year old entrepreneur and self-proclaimed 'Millenial Jardinera' who first made succulent gardening a hobby but eventually made money selling it online. Her works find its way to her friends and relatives desk and soon after put up her first pop-up store dubbed ‘Say It With Succulents’ at Trust Home Depot.

Succulents are perfect practical gifts to moms for several  reasons; 

1. They’re aesthetically pleasing to the eye especially when they come in color and plant mixes in a dish garden;
2. They offer health benefits;
3. They’re not hard to care;
4. They require small spaces;

5. They're not expensive;
6. They propagate.
7. They’re Earth friendly.
