I got a message one day that I’m invited to be with Sherwin Darrel’s media team at a fashion show in Manama, Bahrain. I never really give a thought until I realized, I’m actually invited to an Island Wedding Fashion Show as part event of Jewellery Arabia 2016. Jewellery Arabia is Middle East’s premier jewellery and watch exhibition that started in 1992. It's one of the mecca's of the world's rich and famous to buy the real and finest glitters and gold. This years's exhibition was officially inaugurated under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. It was held at the grand Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center.
To give you a backgrounder of who Sherwin Darrel is, I wrote a story about him last year on how his career in the Fashion industry began and flourished.
This good fellow is really meant to be in this business as he has made it again this year showcasing his designs side by side with international designers who came from Lebanon, Kuwait, Bahrain, France, Italy, Romania and the reknown Russian Designer, Slava Zaitsev. While he was representing Emperatora Couture of KSA on that show, it cannot be denied that the heart, passion and brain behind the edgy sartorials is a true-blooded Fillipino pride.
