I BEG YOUR INDULGENCE TO USE YOUR IMAGINATION WHILE READING, AS THERE IS NO ON-DATE PHOTO FIT FOR TODAY’S GT.
Honestly, I’m having some sort of an ‘impatso’ here with this topic, LOL! But seriously, blogging/writing with given topics actually made me realized a lot of things about my individuality, like today’s GT. As a woman in her late 30’s (inamin, hehehe), a mother of three who has undergone not once but twice c-sections, working her butt out to help her husband make a living to feed three mouths, it made me think … Have I loved my body?
Based on social standards of a physically stunning woman, I’m not quite lucky to be on the first line when Aphrodite showered the pixie dust of beauty. I just stand 5’2’ a little short even to reach my bag in an airplane cabin, I used to have a 27 in. waistline, but after eleven years, don’t ever dare to ask. LOL! I can’t wear sleeveless blouses since my arms have turned chicken legs, if this is the right term. I used to flaunt my Rexona armpit, but you know the hormone thing when you’re pregnant, no matter how I tried to erase all those preggy marks it won’t, unless I shell out some bucks for Vicky Belo and so on and so forth.
It may sound like someone is regretting over the fate of her physicality now, but what can I do? Other than putting on make-up, washing my private parts thoroughly with the most fragrant feminine wash, putting on the most potent whitening underarm thing, wearing high heels to compliment those short inches, the ‘taba’ still shows.
So, why the hell bother, I love the me now! Even if I made the sales ladies in the Department store feeling disgusted telling them to find me ‘the ladies fit’ and not the ‘hipster fit’ Sourgraping! Nyahahahah!
Thanks ladies for dropping by, reading some body rant here….
By the way, thanks Kaye for hosting Girls Talk now. I'll do bloghopping tonight.

this is a very entertaining post, vernz... if it makes you feel any better, I'm just 5"0', I have to step on the side of the seat to reach my luggage, I'm in my late 20's and my waistline is a larger number than my age, I have no kids but have stretchmarks anyways. more ranting here: http://www.inmypsyche.com/2010/07/gt-i-love-my-body.html
ReplyDeleteshea and cocoa butter are said to help reduce the appearance of stretchmarks, i'm trying Bio Oil now, no results pa. You can get your Rexona armpits back! VMV has a spray deo that really works, pricey but effective!
and just a reminder, who cares about those standards of beauty? we are all beautiful in our own ways! happy GT!
PS: and i believe it's chicken wings, vernz! ;p
